The events take place in Russia in 1917. A former peasant, and now a soldier, Ivan Shadrin, was sent by fellow soldiers from the German front to revolutionary Petrograd to hand Lenin a letter with questions from his comrades.

In Kansas during the middle of the Civil War, John Golden is left for dead and his family has been killed by the ruthless Confederate outlaw William Quantrill. Rescued by runaway slave Joshua Brown, Golden is determined to get revenge. With the help of a legendary gunfighter and a special gun, Golden must not only deal with Quantrill and his men, but has to dodge General Custer and his army, as well.

Dana Thornton has a niece, Eleanor. She is friendly with Cynthia Carew, the daughter of a Senator. After a ball one night, Cynthia finds her father dead in their machine. While the ball was in progress we see Cynthia and Lieutenant Lane, a naval officer.

An undercover cop infiltrates a major heroin ring. He soon finds himself in a position to take $2 million without anyone knowing about it, a situation made all the more tempting because of his girlfriend's griping about their constant struggles to make ends meet and their need to change their lives for the better.
